Activision today reported its financial results for the third quarter and nine-months ended December 31st, 2004. Attributed to title releases such as Tony Hawk"s Underground 2, Call Of Duty: Finest Hour and Spider-Man 2, to name a few, Activision reported net revenues at $680.1 million, an increase of 34%, for the third quarter. Net income for the quarter was up 26% to $97.3 million, with diluted earnings per share up 19% at $0.63 per share. Looking at the nine-months period, Activision reported net revenues up 52% to $1.2 bill, on top of earnings per diluted share of $0.87, an increase of 78% from last year.
On the games side of things, reported both good and bad news, with the bad being that DOOM 3 for the Xbox, and the DOOM 3 expansion for the PC have been pushed back into fiscal 2006. during the fourth quarter however, the company will release THUG 2 Remix and spider-Man 2 for the PSP, and will see Shrek 2 entering Microsoft"s Platinum range, Sony"s Greatest Hits and Nintendo"s Player Choice program.
