Over the past few years, we have seen multiple companies try and then subsequently fail to deliver personal recording device. There is the huge issue of privacy but no one has really cracked the formula so it can gain wide acceptance. Despite it being an apparent uphill battle, ACTON, which put out a range of electric skateboards last year, is looking to throw its hat into the ring, by offering glasses that can connect to your favorite social media services for livestreaming, while also being able to record HD footage and capture 8MP stills, all for under $100.
As you can see from the image above, the Ace Eyewear glasses look fairly normal and could be passed off as a generic brand that you might purchase from your local drug store for $9.99. Despite its innocent look, it packs a 120-degree wide angle lens that can be activated with the press of a button. As mentioned before, users will have the option of livestreaming to sites like YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook, or shoot HD footage at two resolutions, 1792 x 1168 at 24fps or 1280 x 720 at 24fps. The videos and images that are shot with the glasses can then be managed through a smartphone app or if you want to directly connect to a PC, you can do so using USB.
According to the firm"s website, the glasses will retail for $199 but it is currently being discounted by $100 for those that take advantage of the limited pre-order run. If interested, you can head to the source link down below.
