Every month, the Windows Phone ad advertising service AdDuplex offers up a monthly status report on the status of the ecosystem, based on data gathered from their ad network. Their report from May showed that Nokia"s phones commanded 83 percent of the Windows Phone market worldwide.
This weekend, the CEO of AdDuplex, Alan Mendelevich, has been posting up teasers on his Twitter account about the company"s June Windows Phone stats report that will be released in full early next week. One teaser suggests something particularly interesting:
#AdDuplexWPStats teaser 2: if you only count WP8 devices, there"s a new no.1 Windows Phone carrier in the US.

This might mean that Verizon has overtaken AT&T in the number one Windows Phone 8 position, thanks to the mid-May launch of the Nokia Lumia 928.
Yet another teaser shows that Windows Phone 8 as a whole has reached a major milestone:
#AdDuplexWPStats teaser 4: probably the most important news is that there are now more WP8 devices in use in the world than WP7.

It also sounds like we will be getting a ton of new Windows Phone 8 announcements in the coming months, according to Mendelevich:
#AdDuplexWPStats teaser 6: we"ve seen new unidentified devices from Nokia, HTC, Huawei and Samsung.

In related news, AdDuplex announced last week that it has received $500,000 in seed financing from Practica Capital. The company formed in 2011 and since then has placed ads in over 3,000 Windows Phone apps that generate tens of millions ad impressions every day. Todd Brix, the general manager of Microsoft"s Windows Phone Store, stated in the press release:
AdDuplex has played an important role in our ecosystem by giving developers valuable promotional tools, so we’re pleased to see the company earning recognition from investors.
AdDuplex says it will be using its new funding to develop new products as well as "introducing new opportunities in its cross-promotion network."
