Adobe accidentally makes Project Nimbus Preview available to Creative Cloud users

An upcoming cloud-based photo editing tool from Adobe with the code name "Project Nimbus", made a brief appearance for a few Creative Cloud users yesterday. The users managed to grab some screenshots before the company pulled the app.

Project Nimbus was announced by Adobe last year and is expected to offer features similar to Lightroom on the web, but with reduced complexity. The company"s Creative Cloud which is powered by Azure, offers mobile and web based versions of applications such as Photoshop, Lightroom and Illustrator. Project Nimbus will also be a a part of this suite of products.

From the screenshots of the leaked application, Project Nimbus seems to be quite basic in its current form. The report from MacGeneration mentions that the application will come with built-in cloud storage up to 1 TB, that will allow users to store their photos and edits online itself.

In a statement issued by Adobe to Engadget, the company revealed that the app was "mistakenly" shared with some users and that the company has no announcements related to the availability of Project Nimbus as of now.
