Adobe has been testing out its Illustrator app for iPad for a few months now, and the company now says that it"s ready to go. It announced today that you can now pre-order the app from the iPadOS App Store.
Of course, you might be wondering what it means to pre-order a digital download of a free application. The answer is simply that it should automatically download to your iPad when it"s available, although Adobe hasn"t specifically said when that will be. But being that pre-orders are going live, it should be any day now.
Adobe said that it"s worked closely with members of the creator community on this, as it took a lot of feedback during the beta program. Moreover, the firm says that it will have other Illustrator announcements coming this year.
While the app is free to download, it"s not free to use. You have to be a Creative Cloud subscriber with access to Illustrator. In fact, this is the third full Creative Cloud app to be available for iPads, with the first two being Lightroom and Photoshop. If you"d like to pre-order the app, you can do so here.
