Adobe XD is now in private beta in the Windows Store

Back in September, we learned that Adobe is planning to bring its XD application - also known as Experience Design CC - to Windows 10 as a UWP app. Previously exclusive to macOS, it"s now available as a private beta.

WindowsBlogItalia has gained access to the private beta, which is currently in version 0.6.3.28. When Adobe originally announced that the app would come to the Universal Windows Platform, it said that it would be available by the end of 2016; however, that"s only a month away.

Here"s the app description (translated):

Adobe XD is designed for fast and efficient activity of UX design with innovative tools that deliver exceptional performance for any project, from simple wireframe to multi-screen experiences. To realize your projects at the speed of thought will serve nothing.

Several of the capabilities:

  • Dedicated design tools - Draw, reuse and assemble the various elements to create wireframe, graphic projects and prototypes using new advanced tools such as the repeat grill and a series of levels and redesigned symbols.
  • Interactive prototypes - Add interactions without leaving XD and view them in real time on the desktop and mobile devices.
  • Share and collaborate with ease - Make rapid feedback from interested parties by allowing them to make comments directly in your prototype. Share-ready graphics production with the developers, so realize the project according to your specific requirements.
  • Many other new features coming - The XD beta is constantly enriched with new interesting features, including support for Windows and reliable collaboration tools. Let us know what you think and shape the future of XD.

If Adobe XD is something that you"d like to try out for yourself, you can. You"ll just need to fill out this application, and the company will pick 50 new users every month. Of course, that doesn"t make for a very large beta program, and it once again questions whether the company will be launching the app this year as it had promised.
