It"s electric! Boogie Woogie Woogie! That"s right, Al Gore is back in the public eye. With all of the economic and environmental issues in the world today, companies and people are beginning to adapt. And these things just wouldn"t be the same without Al Gore in the mix.
It isn"t just families feeling the heat because of the hard times, but business" too. Because of this, companies have no choice but to adapt. And lets face it, becoming more environmentally friendly has its perks too. Aside from easing costs with company expenses like gas, it"s also a huge selling point to be "green" now.
Both the EPA and UPS have begun purchasing and using hybrid vehicles. With this change has come lots of attention from the media, and it seems like it will really pay off in the long run in more ways than one. Hopefully other companies will follow suit. In response to all the attention the environmental topics have been getting, Al Gore has released a five step plan. The plan calls for incentives for companies to produce more environmentally friendly products, distributing renewable energy (which will cost $400 billion by the way), aid to automakers to create hybrids, making more energy efficient houses, and coming up with climate regulations.
These ideas need additional support and people to act in order to be effective. So are your thumbs going to turn green?
