HTC used to be a dominant force in the smartphone industry but relinquished its title to Samsung some years back. While HTC has offered a variety of new smartphone models each year, it has struggled to remain relevant, with sales of its handsets at an all-time low. Luckily, something changed last year, as it debuted its U series handsets with modern design. While the U Ultra was panned due to its use of an older SoC, the U11 was heralded, signaling a turnaround for the company.
As we wait for the inevitable successor to the U11 to be announced by HTC at some point this year, it appears that the handset has allegedly made an unofficial appearance during a 5G industry summit in Taiwan.
Although not available to be viewed in full, you can see that the handset looks much sleeker than its predecessor but its bezels at the top are covered to obscure certain details. Again, there is no confirmation at this point that this is indeed the U12 and we won"t have confirmation until HTC officially announces the handset at some point later this year.
