The major announcements have now all been revealed at IFA Berlin and LG stopped short of outing its rumored handset, the V40 ThinQ. Despite being a no-show, it looks like a new leak has shed some light on its alleged specifications, giving us a better idea of what to expect when it arrives.
AndroidPIT seems to have someone on the inside, as the outlet has reportedly been fed the specification sheet for the unannounced device. Perhaps the most interesting part of the phone will be that it will allegedly arrive with five cameras in total - two in the front and three on the rear. The rear shooters will be comprised of 12MP f/1.5, 16MP f/1.9, and 12MP f/2.4 sensors and lenses - with the trio being a combination of a telephoto, wide-angle, and a 2x zoom. The front-facing camera will make use of 8MP and 5MP sensors.
As you might expect, LG will apparently be focusing on providing a stellar audio experience on the V40 ThinQ, once again making use of a Quad DAC and carrying over its Boombox Speaker technology that it originally debuted on the G7 ThinQ. The phone will have a large 6.4-inch P-OLED display, Qualcomm"s Snapdragon 845 processor, 6GB RAM, and will come with either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. The battery will come in at 3,300mAh.
As you can gather, this should be quite an impressive handset when it arrives to market should these specifications end up holding true, so take them with a grain of salt. Hopefully, LG will make an official announcement sometime soon.
