Amazon brings new Business Prime benefits to U.S., Germany and Japan

Amazon Business has announced the launch of new benefits for customers of Business Prime in the U.S., Germany, and Japan. The firm said the new perks will benefit businesses no matter what their size. The new features include Spend Visibility, Guided Buying, Extended Terms for Pay by Invoice, an Amazon Business American Express Card, and Upgraded Shipping Options – the last two items are restricted the U.S.

Prentis Wilson, Vice President of Amazon Business, discussed the news saying:

“Business Prime enables customers to get the most out of the great selection, pricing and shopping experience on Amazon Business. We continue to listen to feedback from our business customers and are excited to introduce these new benefits. Our goal is to help businesses drive even more transparency into their procurement process, while ultimately lowering their total cost of purchasing.”

With Spend Visibility, customers will be able to see “advanced visualizations of company spend in ready-to-present-graphics”. Amazon said that this should free up time as customers won’t have to download their data and manually find trends. With Guided Buying, customers will be able to “reduce rogue spend, improve compliance, and consolidate suppliers” while clients of the Business Prime customer will get a better insight into the products they’re buying.

Those in the U.S. can enjoy some unique perks; the Amazon Business American Express Card, for example, is a no annual fee credit card that offers flexible benefits and offers 5% back or 90-day interest free payment terms for Business Prime members who buy at Amazon Business, Amazon Web Services, Amazon.com, and Whole Foods Market. Those who sign up will also secure a $125 Amazon.com gift card.

Additionally, Business Prime members in the U.S. can get free same-day delivery or free one-day shipping for a million items over $35 in 8,000 cities and towns. Members can also opt for consolidated shipping which will mean they receive all their items in fewer deliveries.

Amazon Business can sign up for Business Prime based on the number of users on their business account. Three users will cost $179 per year for up to three years, 10 users will cost $499 per year, 100 users will cost $1,299 per year, and over 100 users will cost $10,099 per year.
