Amazon expands 'Dash Button' program and offers $5 credit for Prime members

Amazon"s Dash Button began its testing stages back in April. The program brings arguably the easiest product ordering process ever to Amazon Prime members, offering everyday household items and some AmazonFresh products. Now, the trials are behind us and Amazon is expanding its number of Dash Buttons to allow for more order-capable products.

The program is not exactly open to the general public. In order to get a Dash Button, an active Amazon Prime membership is required. Once signed up, you will need to purchase each branded button, which currently runs $4.99 per button. The purchase price is worth it since each button purchased will grant its owner a $4.99 credit toward the first order made through the Dash Button system.

There are currently 29 brands signed on with the Dash Button system, which represent 500 different items available for ordering. Some of the major brands currently on the Dash Button system include: Orbit, Tide, Gerber, Bounty, Smartwater, Gatorade and Ziploc.
