Amazon has launched it"s Dash Button program outside the United States, into Germany, Austria, and the UK. The WiFi connected devices allow users to easily reorder commonly purchased household goods with the push of a button, without needing to use a computer, phone, or tablet. The device will be priced numerically similarly to the US versions, costing £4.99 or €4.99 or $4.99, depending on your local currency, and gives the same price as a discount off your first order making them effectively free.
The Dash Buttons are wonderful for new parents constantly reordering diapers, or for busy consumers who do the bulk of their household shopping online. The buttons are not available for everyone, being restricted to Amazon Prime customers, making the shipping issue less complicated and adding an additional perk to the service.
Amazon is also rolling out their Dash Replenishment Service to the same markets, allowing device manufacturers to configure auto-refill orders, like printers ordering ink on their own when they get low, to allow for more seamless operations both improving customer experience and locking in refills to Amazon"s retail service.
