Alongside of entries from HP and Lenovo, ASUS was one of the first to produce a Windows 10 on ARM PC with the NovaGo. One of the things that differentiated it from the two others was that rather than being a tablet, the NovaGo is an actual convertible PC.
Normally priced at $699, Amazon is selling the Snapdragon 835-powered PC for $591.65 today, a 15% discount from its normal price. Other key specs include a 13.3-inch 1080p display, 6GB RAM, a 128GB SSD, a promise of up to 22 hours of battery life, and of course, 4G LTE.
Cellular connectivity is one of the key value propositions of ARM PCs, as the gigabit Snapdragon X16 4G LTE modem is integrated into the Snapdragon 835 chipset. Another big feature is the improved battery life, as well as the "always-on" functionality.
The ASUS NovaGo was first announced in December 2017, although it wasn"t actually released until months later. Microsoft"s and Qualcomm"s ambitions to bring Windows 10 to Snapdragon processors is a full year older than that, originally announced at Qualcomm"s Snapdragon Technology Summit in December 2016.
