Amazon has finally announced the dates of this year"s Amazon Prime Day. The two-day event is slated to kick off at 12 AM PT on Tuesday, October 13. It will feature the usual flurry of deals from brands like Panasonic, Roborock, Keurig, Under Armour, Coleman, Adidas, Marvel, Ticwatch, and more.
Typically, the firm hosts this event in July, but it got pushed back this year due to COVID-19. Prime Day is a real moneymaker for the Seattle firm, as it drives a ton of sales in a short period. Additionally, it also encourages people to sign up for Amazon Prime subscription, since the deals are only available to active members.
Amazon is aiming to support small businesses by incentivizing users to buy from them before Prime Day. Starting today, Prime members who spend $10 on items from select small businesses will receive $10 credit usable on Prime Day. This year, Amazon is also investing an additional $100 million in "special Prime Day and holiday promotional programs" to support small businesses.
Prime Day will be held in the U.S., U.K., U.A.E, Spain, Singapore, Netherlands, Mexico, Luxembourg, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, China, Canada, Belgium, Austria, Australia, and for the first time in Brazil and Turkey.
