With more high profile games incoming, AMD has a new graphics driver waiting for Radeon GPU users today. The brand-new Adrenalin Edition 22.3.2 release has support and optimizations for Ghostwire: Tokyo and Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, additional Vulkan extensions support, and more.
AMD did not detail the exact support improvements included in this release for Ghostwire: Tokyo but it is a recommended install before jumping into the Bethesda-published title tomorrow, March 25.
Gearbox Studios" latest Borderlands spin-off project Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is also releasing tomorrow, and the title is getting massive frame rate gains with the driver. According to AMD"s testing on RX 6900XT, 6800XT and 6700XT graphics cards, the game saw FPS increases of up to 23%, 21% and 20%, respectively, compared to the previous driver. The test system was sporting a Ryzen 9 5900X CPU and the game was running at the highest Badass preset at 4K.
Several issues are also getting fixed in this driver, including a bug with Cyberpunk 2077:
- While playing Cyberpunk 2077™ on some AMD Graphics Products such as Radeon™ RX 570 Graphics, some users may observe an issue where indoor areas appear darker than expected.
- Game crash may be observed by users on some AMD Graphics Products such as Radeon™ RX 6900 XT while playing Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin™.
- Stuttering may be experienced while playing Genshin Impact™ with video playback or encoding on some AMD Graphics Products such as Radeon™ RX 6900 XT.
- Using the AMD Software hotkey to open and close Radeon™ Overlay may introduce stuttering while playing some games such as Grim Dawn™.
- During Hades™ gameplay, some users on AMD Graphics Products such as Radeon™ RX 6800 may experience game crash.
Here are the known issues still being worked on:
- Some users on Windows® 10 operating system may observe the absence of the windows transparency aero effect.
- Using Radeon™ Super Resolution on 2560x1600 resolution displays may produce a system hang. A temporary workaround is to set the display Scaling Mode to Full Panel.
- Enhanced Sync may cause a black screen to occur when enabled on some games and system configurations. Any users who may be experiencing issues with Enhanced Sync enabled should disable it as a temporary workaround.
- Radeon performance metrics and logging features may intermittently report extremely high and incorrect memory clock values.
The Radeon Software Adrenalin 22.3.2 driver is available for Windows 10 and 11. Upgrading to it can be done via the Radeon Settings app in the Optional section. Official standalone downloads for the driver are only available via AMD"s release notes page.
