AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT and 6600 alleged specs and performance leak

After ASRock had filed for certification of the upcoming Radeon RX 6600 series at the EEC yesterday, we began to expect more information on these cards to trickle out soon. As such, today we have a leak that details the alleged specifications and also the performance of the RX 6600 XT and the RX 6600.

According to the leak today, the RX 6600 XT will reportedly feature 32 Compute Units (CUs) or 2048 stream processors while the cut-down RX 6600 will have 28 (CUs) or 1792 stream processors. This is in line with the core specifications of Navi 23 that we had learned from a previous Tesla-related leak and also confirms yesterday"s report that the cards will feature 8GB VRAM with a 128-bit wide memory interface.

The Chiphell forum member who has posted this has also added the alleged performance numbers for the Radeon RX 6600 series GPUs. The RX 6600 XT has apparently scored 9,439 points in 3DMark"s Time Spy benchmark and it manages to do around 30MH/s for Ethereum mining. Its smaller cousin, the RX 6600 on the other hand has scored 7,805 points in Time Spy and can do around 27 MH/s for Ethereum.

The poster has added that the GPUs tested here are engineering samples so its possible that we may see a bit higher performance from the final retail products.
