AMD"s bank account bulges, as they yesterday reported record sales.
The company released figures last night which showed a 21% increase in sales from Q3, with a record beating US$1.84 billion in sales, US$206 million operating income and US$96 million net income. The company has evidently made real progress, showing a 45% increase in sales over Q4 of 2004.
Annual results from 2005 show a total of US$5.85 billion, up 17% on 2004"s figures.
The results complement the string of distinctions AMD have enjoyed over the past few months. AMD"s CEO Hector Ruiz was named "CEO of the Year" by Electronic Business magazine, their now famous AMD64 technology has received over 160 global awards since its introduction and the company recently teamed up with Sun Microsystems to build Japan"s largest super computer at the Tokyo Institute for Technology.
