343 Industries earlier today detailed the PC-specific features Halo Infinite will ship with later this year. At the same time, the studio also announced it had partnered with AMD for optimizing the game across Xbox and PC. Celebrating the Halo franchise on PC and the long-term partnership, both companies have unveiled the AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT Halo Infinite Limited Edition graphics card.
As evident by the trailer above, the custom shroud design is inspired by Master Chief"s iconic Mjolnir armor. It sports a reflective iridium gold fan border, a 117 stamp, and even a Cortana-blue AI slot light just like on the Master Chief"s helmet. The internals of this flagship GPU of AMD aren"t changed.
The bad news is that the special edition card won"t be sold at stores. This is possibly to deter scalpers, as the announcement adds "from the start, it was vitally important to both AMD and 343 Industries that a graphics card this special ended up in the hands of our players."
"Multiple opportunities" to grab one of these cards will apparently be available in the coming weeks. It"s recommended to follow and keep an eye on the official AMD Radeon and Halo Twitter accounts to win one.
The partnership doesn"t end there, as select Radeon and Ryzen products in participating shops will include a one-month code of the Xbox Game Pass for PC subscription for a limited time. Halo Infinite"s campaign will be available on the subscription on the day of launch, December 8.
