AMD unveiled its Ryzen 4000 series chipsets at CES 2020. The processors were the world"s first x86 chips to be built on a 7nm process. The company compared the performance of the U-series (15W) chips against Intel’s 10th-generation Ice Lake processors. However, when it came to the H-series (45W) chips, the firm boasted of “desktop-level performance”, adding that the Ryzen 4800H offers better performance than the 95W Intel Core i7-9700K processor.
While laptops running the laptop-class U-series Ryzen 4000 chips such as the Acer Swift 3 were shown off at CES, devices running the beefier 4800H chips weren’t due till later in Q1 2020, with the first of the devices being the ASUS" ROG Zephyrus G14. Now, listings of gaming laptops running the 4800H and 4800HS have been spotted on Amazon China. The devices include the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 GA401II, ROG Zephyrus G14 GA401IU, and the ASUS TUF FA706IU.

While the TUF laptop is sporting a Ryzen 7 4800H processor, the Zephyrus devices seem to employ 4800HS processors. Interestingly, the 4800HS is one that has not been unveiled by AMD yet. There is speculation that the HS-series could be a more power-efficient version of the H-series chips, running at a 35W TDP.
Listings for laptops running the 4000 series APUs reportedly also went live on Newegg Canada for a brief while before being pulled. The devices were slated for a 16 March release date. The listed ASUS devices sport 4600H, 4800H, 4800HS, and 4900HS processors.

Some 3Dmark benchmark results spotted earlier in February showed AMD’s offerings outperform upcoming offerings from Intel. Leaked internal slides hint that the blue team’s 10th-generation desktop-class Comet Lake-S lineup of processors could be made available sometime in April 2020.
