An official Snapchat app could finally be making its way to Windows 10 Mobile

Snapchat has had a murky history with regards to Windows Phone, with the service"s CEO publicly stating that he didn"t know people still used the OS. Snapchat also filed complaints against third-party clients of the service, such as "6discover" and "6snap", having them removed from the Windows Phone Store.

However, back in May 2015, Snapchat stated that it is working on a Windows Phone app, and now it appears that we might be nearing a release date.

According to the Spanish Lumia Support account on Twitter, Microsoft is working with Snapchat on a Windows Phone app:

@GalnRodolfo ¡Pronto llegara a tu Windows Phone! Ya estamos trabajando con nuestros amigos de SnapChat para traerla lo antes posible. ^_^

For those who can"t speak Spanish - in response to a user enquiry asking "Snapchat... why can"t I install it? It doesn"t appear on the Windows Store", the Microsoft account replied:

It will arrive soon to your Windows Phone! We are already working with our friends at Snapchat, to bring it as soon as possible.
