On the heels of the release of its 4.3 software update, Google is reportedly preparing for a release of the next major iteration of the Android Open Source Project: Android 5.0 nicknamed Key Lime Pie.
While not yet physically spotted, Nexus devices using software build KRS36B have been identified using the Chromium browser. The letter "K" being used here is an interesting differentiation from current Android builds.
The software designations usually match Google"s tasty nominal choices with current software builds beginning with "J" for Jelly bean, a software designation K indicates the next major Android update, presumably launching with the Nexus 5 sometime in October.
