Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie spotted

On the heels of the release of its 4.3 software update, Google is reportedly preparing for a release of the next major iteration of the Android Open Source Project: Android 5.0 nicknamed Key Lime Pie.

While not yet physically spotted, Nexus devices using software build KRS36B have been identified using the Chromium browser. The letter "K" being used here is an interesting differentiation from current Android builds.

The software designations usually match Google"s tasty nominal choices with current software builds beginning with "J" for Jelly bean, a software designation K indicates the next major Android update, presumably launching with the Nexus 5 sometime in October.

Some Nexus 5 info has also been leaked on the internet, with the device"s specs being derivative of the LG Optimus G2 which allegedly features a 5.2-inch Full HD (1920x1080px) IPS LCD display with an ultra-thin bezel, along with a 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 2GB or 3GB of RAM. A 13MP camera and 2700mAh battery are also included and the device runs the previously mentioned, Android 5.0, Key Lime Pie.
