Google released Android 6.0 Marshmallow over a year ago, way back in October 2015. Since then, the update has made its way to almost a quarter of active Android devices, but that obviously leaves plenty of other devices that haven"t yet had a taste of that Marshmallow goodness.
Verizon brought Marshmallow to Samsung"s Galaxy Tab S in September, and it took AT&T a year to bring the update to the tablet last month, but owners of the device on US Cellular have faced an even longer wait. Now, though, Android 6.0.1 is finally rolling out to the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 on US Cellular, thirteen months after Marshmallow"s original release.
Along with the various improvements that Google baked into Marshmallow, the update includes some of Samsung"s own additions, such as its TouchWiz user interface, along with bug fixes and security updates for October.
Android 6.0.1 is likely to be the last major OS update for the Galaxy Tab S 10.5, which launched two and a half years ago.
