Sony only started its Marshmallow rollout two months ago - five months after Google originally released the update - but it"s been steadily expanding availability to more of its devices since then.
While its newest flagships were, unsurprisingly, first in line to be upgraded to the latest version of the OS, Sony has also been pushing the update to some of its older devices in recent weeks, including the Xperia Z2, Z3 and Z3 Compact.
As GSM Arena reports, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow is now making its way to all three of those handsets in India and Canada.
Along with the usual Marshmallow goodies, Sony has made a few additions of its own, including user interface tweaks, and Xperia Messaging "with easy in-app access to Stickers".
As always with these over-the-air updates, Marshmallow may not be available for every eligible device in India and Canada immediately, so if you don"t see the update for your Z2, Z3 or Z3 Compact yet, hang in there and check again a bit later.
