Earlier this week, it emerged that Samsung was preparing for the release of Android 7.0 Nougat for its Galaxy S6 edge+. Now, that rollout has begun.
Once again, the first country to get the Nougat update on the S6 edge+ is Turkey, where the company published an official roadmap in February outlining its plans to upgrade many of its devices to Android 7.0 in the coming months. This latest release follows that of the Galaxy Note5 last week.
While the rollout has begun for the Galaxy S6 edge+ in Turkey, it will, of course, make its way to other markets in the weeks and months ahead. It"s always worth remembering, though, that it can take a while for updates like this one to make their way to all eligible handsets, especially for carrier variants.
The next Samsung handsets in line for the Android 7.0 update are the Galaxy A3 (2016) and Galaxy A8. Meanwhile, Google has already announced the next major version of its OS, currently known as Android O.
