Last week, several carriers across Canada began rolling out the Android 7.0 update to the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge. Among those who released the update were Bell, EastLink, Freedom Mobile, SaskTel, Virgin Mobile and Wind Mobile.
It took Rogers and Telus a few days longer to get their ducks in a row, but now, they"ve also commenced their Nougat rollouts to Samsung"s 2016 flagships. Rogers had previously stated that it would make the update available to the S7 and S7 edge on March 20, so while its release is a bit behind most of its domestic rivals, it"s still on time.
As always, don"t forget that major updates like this one tend to be released in "waves", so it may take a few days - or even weeks, before all eligible devices are upgraded.
Samsung originally released Android 7.0 for the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge in mid-January, but it"s been seven months since the update was originally released by Google.
