Earlier this week, T-Mobile revealed that it would soon begin upgrading the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge to Android 7.0 Nougat. Samsung originally released the update for those devices three months ago, and Sprint, Verizon and AT&T all upgraded the two handsets several weeks ago.
As SamMobile reports, T-Mo has finally started rolling out Android 7.0 for both devices. The update brings the Galaxy S6 up to firmware version G920TUVU5FQE1, and the Galaxy S6 edge up to G925TUVU5FQE1.
The update includes the various improvements that Google included in its Android 7.0 update, along with additional customizations by Samsung. As ever, bear in mind that over-the-air updates tend to roll out in "waves", so it may take a few days - or perhaps even longer - before all eligible handsets are upgraded.
T-Mobile also released the Android 7.0 update for Samsung"s Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 this week.
