Anonymous social networking site hacked

A few days ago the well known hacker group Anonymous announced that it had decided to launch its own social networking web site after being kicked off of Google"s recently launched Google+ service. The Anonymous created service, Anonplus.com, launched earlier this week but it looks like the site has already been hacked by a rival group.

According to the Escapist web site, people who visited the site on Wednesday saw the Anonymous logo seemingly hacked to look like it had a dog on top of its invisible head. There was also a message that is reportedly from Akincilar, a hacker group based in Turkey that is known to attack web sites and then deface them with "militantly pro-Turkish messages". The message itself stated, "We Are TURKIYE. We Are AKINCILAR. This logo suits you more..How dare you rise against to the World..Do you really think that you are Ottoman Empire? We thought you before that you cannot challenge with the world and we teach you cannot be social Now all of you go to your doghouse.."

While there was speculation earlier on Wednesday that this defacement of the AnonPlus.com web site might just be some kind of elaborate ruse, it now appears that the hack attack is indeed the real deal. The next question is whether or not this signals a new cyber hacking war between Anonymous and Akincilar or if this was just a one time attack designed just to poke some fun at the new Anonymous social networking site.
