Right after unveiling Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order"s first gameplay footage, EA Play livestream jumped straight into another Respawn Entertainment game, that being Apex Legends.
The studio admitted the first season wasn"t the best it could have delivered, and learning from that, it detailed the battle royale title"s second season, which carries a brand new Battle Pass that is challenge-based, a new playable character, a ranked mode, weapon, and more content.
The brand new legend joining the game is Wattson, a character that can place down electric fences that stun enemies, but turn off when friendlies are passing through. Her ultimate is a placement that shoots down grenades and bombardments from other legends" ultimates. It also recharges shields for players nearby.
As for the new weapon, Titanfall 2 players might recognize it as the L-Star, the energy-based light machine gun. As for the revamped Battle Pass, there"s quite a lot of changes, so head over here to get a full rundown.
Apex Legends Season 2 will be launching on July 2 across all platforms. Looking a bit further, the developer also teased that "a couple of big things are coming" to the game, seen above.
