Most recently, LG introduced its V30S handset during Mobile World Congress. In previous years, the firm would have used the same stage to debut its latest G-series handset. This year, that wasn"t the case and the firm has made it public that it has changed things up, announcing that it would release handsets when necessary. While we wait for LG to officially announce its next flagship with a completely new design, information about the device has been leaking out. Now, we get to see the handset through new renders.
TechnoBuffalo has created some renders based on information that has been floating around the internet. The device that is seen in the images reportedly goes by the codename Judy and could become the G7 by the time it reaches retail. As you can see, the handset sports a notch in the top portion of the screen, something that we have started to see a lot of from various Android manufacturers. On the rear, we can see what looks to be a glass back and also a dual camera setup with a fingerprint reader. If Google"s Android P update is any indication, it looks like the notch could become quite popular in 2018.
From what is known, the handset will have a 6-inch 3220 x 1440 OLED display, Qualcomm"s Snapdragon 845 processor, up to 6GB RAM, and up to 128GB of internal storage. Naturally, the specifications and look of the device could change but hopefully, we will see an official release sometime in the coming months.
