Apple"s iPhone may not have a user-replaceable battery, but now Apple is offering to replace said battery for $79 plus $6.95 shipping. Apple states that the repair will take three business days, not counting shipping to and from the repair center. If you absolutely can"t live without your iPhone for the time your device is being serviced, you can rent one from Apple for $29. All data on your iPhone will be erased when you send it off, so Apple suggests that you backup all of your important information with iTunes beforehand. Should Apple consider making the iPhone"s successor have a user-replaceable battery? Well that"s an easy yes from any consumer. The real question is will they be satisfied with the money made this time around and give their customers what they want next time?
