Apple begins shipping AppleTV

Apple Incorporated has started to ship its new AppleTV product, a piece of hardware that allows streaming iTunes content from computers to the television. Apple Canada"s online store prices the devices at a retail price of $349 CAD (the U.S. store has it for $299 USD and the U.K. store has it for £199.00) and claims they ship within three to five business days. The product comes with a 40 GB hard drive, which Apple boasts is equivalent to 50 hours of video, 9,000 songs, 25,000 photos or a combination of those three media formats.
