Apple doubles rental time on movies once playback has been started

Today, Apple is shipping its latest products to customers like the Apple Watch Series 3, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and its Apple TV 4K. As it brings the new devices to market, it is also updating the software for each product to give users an improved experience.

Although tvOS 11 will give Apple TV users a new experience with many improvements, it appears that Apple isn"t content with just that. As reported today by 9to5Mac, Apple is now doubling the time you have to watch a rental movie though iTunes once it has been started. This doesn"t affect the 30-day time frame you have to watch a movie once rented, but instead, increases the time you have to watch a movie to 48 hours once you"ve already started watching. This small change should make it more convenient to enjoy movies now, especially when watching it across all of its devices.

The Apple TV 4K is now available for purchase starting at $179 for the 32GB model and $199 for the 64GB model.
