The day has finally come. Apple has unleashed iOS 9.3.3, OS X 10.11.6 El Capitan, and tvOS 9.2.2 into the wild. The news comes after almost two months of releasing five developer betas, the last of which was seeded 12 days ago.
Of course, these are not major updates, which was what made five betas so peculiar. As their version numbers indicate, there are no front-facing features of note in any of these builds.
You may recall that iOS 9.3.2 did end up having some issues. The update ended up bricking some 9.7-inch iPad Pros and had to be pulled. Perhaps, Apple is just being more careful this time around.
There are also no release notes for the new builds, which is typical for a public release. The betas themselves didn"t point out any fixes or issues for OS X 10.11.6 or tvOS 9.2.2, but they did consistently say that iOS 9.3.3 might have issues with iCloud Photo Library in the Simulator and with the Dictionary when upgrading to an iOS 9 GM seed; however, these aren"t issues that a normal user should have to worry about.
It"s unlikely that we"ll see anymore development for iOS 9 or OS X 10.11 El Capitan, as Apple is now offering betas for iOS 10, macOS 10.12 Sierra, watchOS 3, and tvOS 10, for which the third beta was released today.
