Apple fixes App Store bug that briefly stalled app downloads and updates

Earlier today, an unspecified number of users encountered a bug with Apple"s App Store that prevented them from downloading apps or app updates from the online marketplace. If you"re one of the affected users, the good news is that Apple has issued a fix for the problem.

The Cupertino-based tech giant has yet to release an explanation for the bug, however. The problem would crop up when users attempted to download an app or update an existing app and then tapped the "Agree" button for the new Apple Media Services Terms & Conditions. Instead of completing the process afterward, the App Store kept displaying the same dialog box all over again, thus stalling the download process.

@AppleSupport hey, what is wrong with AppStore? This endless loop will not go away. I have tried everything. (Restarting, signing-out-in, etc) pic.twitter.com/q5U2T9JHpV

The bug apparently affected devices running the public release of iOS 12.2 and the beta version of iOS 12.3. Reports claimed it affected only a small set of iOS users. Apple"s fix is believed to be rolling out server-side, so you may have to wait a bit before it reaches your device.
