Apple introduces "TV", an app that consolidates all your content

Today, Apple introduced "TV", a new app that will consolidate a user"s content into one seamless experience.

The app works by aggregating all of a users subscription services and content and presenting it in a cleaner more streamlined interface. This means that you won"t have to hunt for a specific service within the app, only search for content that you want to watch and enjoy it. "Spotlights" will be a section that highlights content for the user, and can automatically download episodes for a watched series, once they become available. "Watch Now" will be the prominent component that allows the seamless functionality of the app, offering quick access to shows and services without the need to enter and activate each respective provider"s app.

Although the app was touted for Apple TV, it will also work with Apple"s other products like the iPhone and iPad. The TV app will allow users to transition from one device to another and pick up where they left off and since it is an Apple product, Siri integration will be a part of the experience. The TV app will be available for free via an upcoming update that will arrive by the end of the year.
