If you have an Apple device running iOS 13.6, you can no longer roll back to an older version. According to 9To5Mac, the Cupertino-based giant is blocking users from downgrading from iOS 13.6. It has essentially stopped signing iOS 13.5.1, which means you can no longer install it on any of your devices.
Apple often takes such steps to stop users from reinstalling older versions of iOS on their devices. By being on the latest version, users will get the most recent security patches and the newest features. Apple released iOS 13.6 last week with a bunch of Apple News-related improvements. The update also included Apple"s new CarKey feature that lets you unlock a car with your phone, along with a whole host of security patches, including for the kernel.
Apple announced iOS 14 at WWDC 2020 last month. The latest iteration of iOS brings about major upgrades, especially to the UI. Some of the biggest new features include the App Library, Widgets, among others. Yesterday, Apple also released the third developer beta for iOS 14, watchOS 7, and tvOS 14. The iOS beta version brings in a new Music app icon with a red background, and Snapchat integration. iOS 14 will ship to eligible devices later this fall.
