Apple Music arrives in the LG Content Store for LG Smart TVs

LG Smart TV customers running webOS 4.0 can now download Apple Music from the LG Content Store to bring their music collection to the big screen. Through the app, users will be able to listen to more than 90 million songs without ad interruptions, browse 30,000 curated playlists, view music videos in 4K, and get time-synced lyrics.

The main reasons you’ll want to download Apple Music on your LG Smart TV will likely be for the 4K music videos and the time-synced lyrics. With the holiday season just around the corner, it’s likely that many people will be hosting parties for their friends and family. With the time-synced lyrics, guests can gather around the screen and get a bit of a karaoke going on.

For those who don’t have much of a library built up on Apple Music, there’s a service on the platform called Apple Music Radio which live streams the hits, classics, and country music so you’ll always have something to listen to. If you already use the service on other devices, they will sync seamlessly with the Apple Music app on your LG Smart TV.

The introduction of Apple Music on LG Smart TVs comes just a few weeks after LG announced that its customers could claim a three-month trial of Apple TV+. That offer is still open until February 13, 2022, so be sure to sign up if you haven’t done so already. If you want to try Apple Music, you can get a three-month trial for that too.
