Pre-orders are now open for the Powerbeats Pro, which were announced earlier last month. The truly wireless earphones can be pre-ordered from Apple"s online storefront for $249.95 and shipping will start in June.
The Powerbeats Pro succeed the PowerBeats3, which debuted in 2016, and they still have the same over-the-ear hook design of its predecessor despite going completely cordless. The earphones can last up to nine hours of listening time on a single charge and more than a day of total playback time. The charging case also supports fast charging for up to 1.5 hours of playback time after a 5-minute charge, Beats claims.
According to the company, the latest-generation earphones pack some improvements from their predecessor, owing to the new linear piston driver that produces better sound quality by using pressurized airflow. The Powerbeats Pro are powered by Apple"s H1 chip, which will let you say the Siri wake word to summon Apple"s digital assistant without pressing any button.
The earphones come in ivory, black, moss, and navy color options. However, the pre-order page currently lists the black variant as the only available model for now.
