Apple opens pre-orders for the purple iPhone 12 models and AirTag

As it promised earlier this week, Apple today kicked off pre-orders for the purple iPhone 12 and 12 mini as well as the AirTag. Both products will be available from April 30.

The purple iPhone 12 costs $799 for the 64GB configuration, $849 for the 128GB storage, and $949 for the 256GB model. Meanwhile, the mini version is priced at $699 for the 64GB storage, $749 for the 128GB variant, and $849 for the 256GB version. Of course, you can grab those devices at a lower price if you trade in an iPhone 7 or newer, with savings of up to $515.

Apart from the new paint job, the purple iPhone 12 models don"t differ from the other color variants in terms of the specifications and features. There"s the same display, A14 Bionic chipset, camera, battery, and all other specs of the phone.

Just like the earlier variants of the iPhone 12, the new color option ships without a power adapter or EarPods as part of Apple"s environmental goals. There"s only a USB‑C to Lightning cable inside the box, and it supports fast charging.

As for the AirTag, you can pre-order the tracker for $29 or $99 for a pack of four, which is a better deal if you want to keep track of multiple devices. Plus, you can add a mix of engraving including an emoji, text, and numbers to personalize the tag at no extra cost.

The purple iPhone 12 handsets are available to pre-order via this link and the AirTag through this link. On the other hand, the pre-order pages for the Apple TV 4K, 2021 iPad Pro, and the 24-inch M1 iMac are set to go live by the end of this month.
