Apple releases iOS 7.1 Beta 1 to developers

iOS developers and enthusiasts are rejoicing today as Apple has released the first major beta version since the release of iOS 7 back in September. If you’re a registered developer you can get iOS 7.1 Beta right now from Apple’s servers.

iOS 7.1 Beta 1 includes the usual bug fixes but it also adds some interesting UI changes as well as performance enhancements. By far the biggest UI change is the addition of the “dark keyboard” in the accessibility settings that lets users enjoy a higher contrast version of Apple’s digital keyboard.

Another change in the appearance of the OS is the updated Yahoo logo that’s featured all around and some changes to Flickr’s icon to make it look as minimal as possible.

There are some other interesting changes in the photography department. iOS 7.1 now lets users auto-upload burst shot images. It also adds an HDR auto mode that picks what it thinks is the best image.

Hopefully iOS 7.1 will soon hit everyone’s phones and bring some much needed improvements to Apple’s latest operating system.
