Apple releases macOS 10.12.2 Sierra beta 6 to developers and Public Beta testers

Apple today released macOS 10.12.2 beta 6 to both developers and Public Beta testers. The build number for today"s beta is 16C63a.

The company has been pushing out new builds quite frequently as of late, with beta 5 being released just three days ago on Monday alongside watchOS 3.1.1 beta 5 and iOS 10.2 beta 6. In fact, there were three iOS 10.2 builds released within a single week.

Apple definitely seems to be gearing up for a public release of the minor update to the OS, especially since the firm promised to deliver the new TV app - which will arrive in iOS 10.2 and tvOS 10.1 - in December. It seems likely that there will at least be a GM seed next week, if not full general availability.

The release notes don"t state anything that"s new in this particular build, which is completely normal for macOS. The update itself will include support for 72 new emojis that are included in Unicode 9, so you"ll be able to express your love of bacon without having to overcomplicate things with the English language.
