Apple releases update improving Wi-Fi reliability for El Capitan

Apple have deployed the latest version of El Capitan to the Mac App Store, which can be downloaded now. Most notably, the update improves the reliability of Wi-Fi, Handoff and Airdrop.

Apple says that its update to OS X:

  • Improves Wi-Fi reliability
  • Improves the reliability of Handoff and AirDrop
  • Fixes an issue that may cause Bluetooth devices to disconnect
  • Fixes an issue that prevented Mail from deleting messages in an offline Exchange account
  • Fixes an issue that prevented importing photos from an iPhone to a Mac using a USB cable
  • Improves iCloud Photo Sharing for Live Photos

This update to OS X is the second bug fix release since the OS launched at the end of September. It has been released following several beta versions, tested in recent months. El Capitan will likely receive a few more before Apple unveils the next iteration of OS X in the autumn next year.
