Apple might be releasing a 14.1-inch MacBook Pro later on this year in the fourth quarter, according to a new report from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo (via 9to5Mac). The 14.1-inch model will replace the current 13-inch one, just like the 16-inch MacBook Pro replaced the 15-inch variant.
Moreover, it seems that the product will ship with a mini-LED display, which should allow for close to true blacks. Moreover, Apple apparently has six mini-LED products planned for this year. Aside from the new MacBook Pro, there"s a new 12.9-inch MacBook Pro, a 27-inch iMac Pro, a new 16-inch MacBook Pro, a 10.2-inch iPad, and a 7.9-inch iPad Mini. It"s unclear why Apple would refresh the larger iPad Pro, the base model iPad, and the iPad Mini without offering the new display technology to the 11-inch iPad Pro.
All of these new products are slated for Q4 this year, so likely in October to hit the holiday season. Kuo also said that they"re currently unaffected by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), and everything is moving along as planned.
