Apple TV gets iTunes Extras, also coming to iOS 8

Since the announcement of Mac OS X 10.10 "Yosemite" and iOS 8 at the World Wide Developer Conference, Apple hasn"t said, or released much, besides a small refresh to the iMac line. Even though they have been quiet, it appears that Apple still has some love for the movie buffs out there that still use the Apple TV

Alongside todays release of iTunes 11.3, the company has brought iTunes Extras, the feature which allows you to get a behind-the-scenes look with the movies that you have rented, to the Apple TV.

Users of the Apple TV set-top box will be able to access the iTunes Extras feature only if they have the 6.2 software update, which was released last week. iTunes Extras allows users to view deleted scenes, images, as well as listen to director"s commentary, and up until now, the service was only available for desktop consumers. Despite the fact that this service is currently available for users of the Apple TV, and has been out even longer for users of the desktop version of iTunes; iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch users can expect this feature to show up in iOS 8 when it launches sometime this fall.
