According to a statement from Apple, the AppleTV, which was originally slated to ship this month, has been delayed until the middle of March. The reason for the delay is currently unknown. "Wrapping up Apple TV is taking a few weeks longer than we projected and we now expect to begin shipment mid-March," said the Cupertino, California-based company. The $299 device was first previewed as iTV in September and formally announced in January at Macworld Expo. The idea behind the product is to be able to sync downloaded content from iTunes to a television. AppleTV supports 802.11b/g, 802.11n for wireless streaming and Ethernet connectivity to its 40GB hard drive. The device includes an HDMI connector and resolutions of up to 720p.
