Rumours are abound and gathering fast approaching the event and one of those new rumours pertains to the new generation of Apple TV devices that should act as a significant upgrade to the current generation. New features include an A8 chip and a native SDK for developers to create apps for the device.
What also has been noted is that the new Apple TV will also use a motion-sensitive remote control with a touchpad, multi-axis sensors, physical buttons on the bottom and an integrated microphone for Siri. The use of Siri could provide new ways for consumers to input search queries.
The controller may certainly allow for a capable casual gaming device, especially in multi-player gaming where individuals can use voice input or even party games that would fair better on the TV instead of an iPhone or iPad.
The new Apple TV and possibly a new App Store with an easy-to-use controller has the potential to attract casual gamers away from rival companies, such as Nintendo.
