Apple Upgrade Program iPhone X users will need to make an early payment to upgrade ASAP

Today, Apple announced its latest premium handsets, the iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max. While many are surely excited to purchase the new phones or upgrade from their older models, there will be a category of folks that might not be so smitten. iPhone X owners that took advantage of the Apple"s iPhone Upgrade Program from the first day might have forgotten that the iPhone X was actually released in November. That means that a full year has yet to pass and it might require some to pay a little extra before they are able to upgrade this year.

Apple has generally kept things synchronized with its yearly releases, last year was a bit of an anomaly. So if you are intending to upgrade to the latest device from Apple, make sure that you check your iPhone Upgrade account, as you might be required to make an early payment, prior to being eligible for a new phone this year. As you can see from the example listed in the image at the top of the article, $49.91 must be paid prior to upgrading, and this iPhone X was purchased one day after the release. If you are someone that upgraded at a later date, you might have to pay more. Basically, Apple requires a year"s worth of payments in order for an upgrade to be available.
