With less than a week to go before the pre-orders begin for the Apple Watch, Apple has posted four new videos on its YouTube channel explaining some of the basic functionality and benefits of the watch.
Although smartwatches have some hurdles to overcome before they become widely accepted, Apple has posted some interesting videos of their first wearable, the Apple Watch. While this probably won"t be a suitable replacement for going into the store and trying a device for yourself, the video does give you a good idea of how a few aspects of the watch will work.
Apple starts the video series off with a "Welcome" or general overview of what the watch can accomplish. The "Messages" video shares how the watch can react to text messages, like allowing you to respond via tailored text responses or dictate a response. The "Faces" video demonstrates how to customize watch faces. While it is unknown how many watch faces will be available at launch, depending on the face, there will be different options available for customization. Lastly, the "Digital Touch" video shows how you can send custom sketches, taps and heartbeats to other Apple Watch owners.
The Apple Watch will be available for pre-order starting April 10th and will make its debut on April 24, 2015. Those in Switzerland will have to wait until the year"s end.
