Apple will launch its new iPhones on September 12

Apple today began sending out press invitations for its next big event, which will be on September 12. As is always the case this time of year, the firm will introduce new iPhones. We"re expecting to see a trio of iPhones, all with the design of last year"s iPhone X. The lowest end will have a 6.1-inch LCD screen, while the other two will be OLED, with 5.8- and 6.5-inch screens.

Here"s the full invitation:

Aside from that, we might see some new iPad Pro models. These are expected to have thinner bezels, ditch the Home button, and support Face ID. In other words, there won"t be such a discontinuity between how your iPhone works and how your iPad works.

And while we already got new MacBook Pro models this year, there may be a refresh of the 12-inch MacBook. Earlier this week, Intel launched its eighth-generation Y-series processors, so now the chips are available for it. There are also rumors of a new entry-level MacBook, although it"s unclear how Apple could make a laptop that"s more entry-level than the current 12-inch MacBook.

We might see the Apple Watch Series 4, along with the long-awaited AirPower wireless charger. There could be a new Apple Pencil, new AirPods, and more.
