Earlier today, Apple finally opened up orders for its AirPods Bluetooth earbuds, after months of delays. While Apple promises a "wireless, effortless, magical" experience because of the W1 processor that the company used, AirPods aren"t the only Bluetooth headphones that offer it, and they"re not even the cheapest.
Indeed, while the firm talked up AirPods quite a bit during the announcement, it also announced three new pairs under the Beats brand: Solo3, PowerBeats3, and BeatsX; the former two are already on the market, being sold for $299.95 and $199.95, respectively.
And that leaves BeatsX as the last unreleased W1 headset, and Apple updated its Store today to say that the headphones won"t be coming until February.
But BeatsX will cost just $149.95, a cool $9.05 less than AirPods. While it promises the same "effortless" and "magical" experience, it also contains such innovative features as a wire that connects the two earbuds, so if one falls out of your ear while you"re walking down the street, it will fall around your neck, rather than down a sewer drain.
You can check out BeatsX in the Apple Store here, but the headphones still can"t be pre-ordered.
